                                           ARE YOU REALLY SURE
                                           THAT YOU ARE SAVED?

Mar 16:1  And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of
James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
Mar 16:2  And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the
sepulcher at the rising of the sun.
Mar 16:3  And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the
door of the sepulcher?
Mar 16:4  And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was
very great.
Mar 16:5  And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right
side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
Mar 16:6  And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which
was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
Mar 16:7  But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into
Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
Mar 16:8  And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulcher; for they trembled and
were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
Mar 16:9  Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to
Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
Mar 16:10  And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and
wept.
Mar 16:11  And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of
her, believed not.
Mar 16:12  After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked,
and went into the country.
Mar 16:13  And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.
Mar 16:14  Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided
them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which
had seen him after he was risen.
Mar 16:15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to
every creature.
Mar 16:16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not
shall be damned.
Mar 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast
out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not
hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mar 16:19  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into
heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Mar 16:20  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them,
and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

What would you say if Jesus walked in the room?  Would you believe it was Him?  Or
would you think someone was playing a cruel practical joke on you. This is what His
disciple’s thought when He appeared to the women and to two of the disciples and they
told the rest.  It wasn't till Jesus appeared to all of them in the room that they really
believed that Jesus was alive and risen from the dead.  They thought it was some cruel
joke the Romans were playing on them to draw them out to capture and kill them.

If these twelve Disciples and the other followers who were always with Jesus didn't
believe it right from the start why would we?
What makes us so much more believing than the handpicked Disciples that Jesus
chose?  They like most of Us had to see Him in the flesh with the holes in His hands and
feet to believe Him.

This is nothing to be ashamed of.  God created Us to be able to detect right and wrong,
what is believable and what isn't.  God did not create us to blindly follow and not
question what is right and what is wrong.  That is a worldly trait.  A trait that the devil
loves because if you don't question if jumping off a bridge is right or wrong chances are
you will die and join Satan in Sheol or Hell. Blindly following without questioning is what
the Romans wanted the Jews to do,  and believe it or not every government since right
up till today.  Jesus knew this and expected this.  That is why he showed himself to his
Disciples and followers.  To show them that He really was alive.

What am I getting around to?  Plain and simple.  If we believe in Jesus Christ as the Son
of God, that he was crucified, buried, and arose on the third day.  That is all we need to
be Saved.  The problem is that we do forget and sin.  We assume that we are in no
danger because we once said we believe in Christ.  Problem is  we have probably
sinned and fallen short of God's glory and we don't know it.

What to do.  Pray daily, many times daily if necessary for forgiveness and for
protection.  Don't just go on the fact that if you are saved, you are sinless.  It didn't work
for kings and rulers in the Days of the Old Testament.  They sinned and fell short of
God's glory.  Only through constant thoughtful prayer and meditation.  Through the
servitude to God and your fellow man and by remembering every day the gift that was
given to Us by Jesus and his death and resurrection and thanking God for it and for
forgiveness of your sins will you be saved and Join Jesus when he returns to gather his
flock for everlasting Life.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for the incredible gift you gave us in your Son,
Jesus Christ.  As we celebrate the glorious resurrection of Him after being
buried three days and his ascension to Heaven to sit at Your right hand to rule
over his Celestial Kingdom.  Let us always remember that this gift is only
possible through our constant servitude, meditation and prayers for
forgiveness and for strength.  Let us not doubt the events that are written in
the Bible as just the writings of men here on earth, but as writing by men here
writing your exact words as you wanted them written and followed as you
wanted them followed. Do not let us fall into the snare of blindly following only
what we see in front of us but let us also have the vision to see what is ahead
in your great master plan. To believe in you and to believe in ourselves to
know what is right and to be humble and obedient to you.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen
